Raise awareness about Muslim patient populations and the diversity in thought and tradition across the Islamic world.
Serve as an educational avenue to address and eliminate misconceptions about Islam.
Bring together medical students through volunteerism, social activities, and religious services.
Provide mentorship for students pursuing career paths in medicine.

Ezan Chaudhry
Salam everyone! My name is Ezan, and I am an MS1 at UNC. I’m looking forward to working with IMA this year to increase our presence on campus and build upon the initiatives we started in previous years. In my free time I like to kayak, play soccer, watch anime, and spend time with family and friends. If anyone ever has questions related to IMA or has ideas for what IMA can do this year, please reach out to me or one of the other board members!

Mohamed Ahmidouch
I am a first-year medical student at the UNC School of Medicine. I grew up in Greensboro, NC and I have an older sister who is a third-year medical student at UNC, as well. I joined IMA to work towards providing underrepresented students with both academic and social support at UNC. Outside of school, I competitively speed solve Rubik's Cubes, play soccer and basketball, and enjoy reading DC and Marvel comic books.
